Cigarettes cause cancer because of the accumulative radioactive properties of the tobacco. the smoke causes emphasima, and the nicotine cause blood and neural concerns.
As far as I can see, this cuts out two very serious issues.

SmileyFaceFB  on February 10th, 2010

FDA is retarded they just want ppl to keep smoking kuz they’re the big bad mean governemtn :/

TFSmytheQJM  on February 10th, 2010

If tobacco smoking had just been invented it would be banned. Likewise alcohol. I can see a case for govt’s wanting to tax e-cigarettes in the same way as regular cigarettes except of course the gov’ts should be seen to promote healthier alternatives. E-cigs need legislation so standards are achieved and maintained. At the moment there is opportunity for unscrupulous manufacturers to use potentially harmful products although its not in their interest to do so….I’m off for an e-beer now!

I’m canadian so maybe it’s different . Problem is, the fda / government / big tocbacco work together. here its like 8 bux for a a cheep 25 pack of smoke the government makes a butt load of money in taxes on smokes. so there not, and big tobacco don’t want this to take over. so keep esmokes quiet. shhhh.. eventualy they will take over. b.t will have to take over and everything will get regualted by the government. prices will skyrocket so nobody will loose there money , and additives? why not?

i thought you looked like a douchebag and would sound like one through your diction and/or arguements

hell naw
Im really trying to order a starter kit very soon.
its really the tar that gets me, and i would love to smoke inside

refeicul  on February 10th, 2010

lol they are banned from indoors in NJ and their reason is they dont know enough about it..

iStormUK  on February 10th, 2010

Dude, excellent video, superb points made too. Vape away happily, they’ll never find a legitimate reason to ban it.

1SkepticGuy  on February 10th, 2010

How about this, As parents “KEEP IT OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN” If it can harm your kids. Treat it like it were a Loaded gun and keep it in a safe. Amazing how people welcome bigger government to take charge of things that they should be responsible for. Tell me one thing the government regulates effectively,. Yeah that make sense. Millions of dollars for a sticker and a age limit. What we need is for parents to start raising their kids instead of expecting somebody /something else to do it.

I am a non-smoker and I stand by the e-cig. I am buying one myself so that when smokers visit I don’t have to send them outside (possibly into bad weather) or have my place stunk up.

Obviously it’s best to never start smoking, and if you do smoke, it’s best to quit altogether. But for those who already smoke and are unwilling or unable to quit, this is something which can preserve their health.

Is the e-cig good for you? I doubt it. Is it as bad as a real cigarette? Not by a long shot.

ChoonDSW  on February 10th, 2010

e-cigs can possibly save millions of lives worldwide.

I cant understand why when I tell people about e-cigs, they say they never heard of such a thing. I don’t understand how a device that can “PRACTICALLY” help people quite smoking or avoid inhaling over 4000 chemicals is unheard of and banned.

A nanny state like Australia has outlawed e-cigs before most of the millions of Australian smokers ever had the chance to freely choose if the product was of any benefit to them. Free country MY ASS!

Great report! In my researh on nicotine, Iran across an article about the bebefits of nicotine. Asthe report goes, nicotine by itself can be used to deter Alzheimers disease and Parkinsons dsease. Ecigs could save the health care system of an overload of cases predicted for the immediate future. Maybe someone should point that out to the FDA!

6. THE US GOVERNMENT DOES NOT ACTUALLY CARE ABOUT THE WELFARE OF ITS CITIZENS ANY MORE! all the people on captl hill care about is who is in power and the only choice we have is how to react to getting f****d up the @*$ every day.

hope this helps to answer the question

p03t1313  on February 10th, 2010

@p03t1313 4. if people pay ~$1/pack (after initial starterpack investment of $60-$200 by just buying eliqids and replacement parts for their ecigs) instead of ~$4-$8/pack and only pay sales tax on these products the government isnt making as much money from a habit they supposedly want us to quit doing anyway
5. the FDA, the government, government officials, and private owners/organizations are invested if even only slightly into traditional NRTs thus they are making money on these products also

p03t1313  on February 10th, 2010

You ask why the side-by-side comparisson with analog cigs hasnt been done, considder this:
1. the FDA is a governtment organization
2. The government makes lots of $ every day (screw the yearly numbers) from taxing tobacco products
3. Ecigs are helping people quit without quitting (they vape instead of smoking)

RLFPRESENTS  on February 10th, 2010

What about the ones that have NO Nicotine and are Veggy based!!!

P3rplexity  on February 10th, 2010

You don’t wanna buy one in person, you will be overpaying a ton.

ThndersRage  on February 10th, 2010

The hostility is because both are inhalers, both are meant to deliver nicotine, one delivers 4000 additional bad things and one does not. The delivery method is what differs, combustion vs ionization. Paper, tobacco and fire plus chemicals vs Nicotine, propylene glycol, flavoring and DC powered atomization.

It seems obvious to me.

ThndersRage  on February 10th, 2010

You repeatedly state that you suck on it you get nicotine, that holds true for both cigarettes and E-cigs. You omit the 4000 other bad things a cigarette gives you and that with an E-Cig you have the option to NOT get nicotine when you suck on it.
Both act as inhalers, the difference is in how they deliver.
Your argument is lacking in my opinion.

ECiguser  on February 10th, 2010

yes and the funny thing is the so called danger carcinogen is also in Baking products and tooth paste. the truth is the amount of the carcinogen is not harmful at all at the amount seen. you can also find it in breath mints and Nicorret gum. The FDA is failing at its ban and if they do ban it march on Washington

libertyfizz  on February 10th, 2010

Be a responsible consumer and purchase only products with child safety caps. I agree with that recommendation. I am against the FDA involvement.
The smoking nazis are now lying to the public by claiming tobacco cancer studies implicated nicotine at a cancer causing agent. No nicotine is the addictive agent in cigarettes it is other chemicals in cigarettes implicated as causing cancer. The excuse for the high tobacco tax was to offset medical costs a lie if applied to e-cigs.

RealOriginality  on February 10th, 2010

oh ok liquid nicotine or hundreds of other chemicals or toxins in a regular cig… the choice seems easy

AtomBombZombieTron  on February 10th, 2010

Hey man, good video and arguments. I see this was filmed a while ago; how is the e-cig smoking going?

Thinking of switching to these myself…

tuddyfruity4  on February 10th, 2010

where can i buy one? IN PERSON!!! not online- what stores sell them?

CKY4KK  on February 10th, 2010

Everything that is good for your health in this country is banned (example: marijuana) and everything that is bad for your health is legal (example: tobacco and alcohol)…This is one of the reasons why America is bullshit.

dliwehtfollacsutube  on February 10th, 2010

thanks for educating us…..im definately gonna try it….

Electric Monkey  on February 10th, 2010

Put it this way- It may not be harmless but it’s definitely healthier then the tobacco cigs. If I would be stuck in a room with someone smoking- I sure hope it would be an e-cig……….
