on peritoneal dialysis machine. Please how do you get rid of the cramping when it draining. Im in lots of?

pain when its draining. does anyone have any ideas on how to stop the cramping. it only last for 4 or 5 min. but it feels like forever
also we asked the nurse, she is knew at peritoneal training. She doesn’t know. she has asked other nurse but there not sure.

One thing you can try when draining is to clamp of the line for a few minutes to allow your body to get used to what you’ve drained and then finish training. Another thing to think about. Do you think you may have gained weight? If you don’t alter your prescription and keep the same dry weight you can cramp. You may also need to change the dialysate to something more hypertonic, if your body gives up fluid easily.
